Instructions for JEE Main 2018 Computer Based Examination

1. The test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the JEE Main 2018 Admit Card and an announcement to this effect will be made by the invigilator.

2. The test will be of 3 hrs duration

3. The test paper will be consisting questions of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and all questions will have equal weightage.

4. There will be three parts in the question paper consisting of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics having equal weightage.

5. Each question is allotted 4 (four) marks for the correct response. 1¼ (one fourth) marks i.e. one mark will be deducted for indicating incorrect response of each question. No deduction from the total score will be made if no response is indicated for a question.

6. There is only one correct response for each question out of four responses given. In case, the candidate darkens more than one response for a question, one mark will be deducted.

7. The Ball Pens will be supplied to the candidates in the examination hall so they should not bring any type of Pen/Ball Pens with them.

8. All calculations/writing work are to be done only in the rough sheet provided at the centre and on completion of the test candidates must hand over the rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the Room/Hall.

9. During the examination time, the invigilator will check Admit Card of the candidate to satisfy himself/herself about the identity of each candidate.

10. The candidates are governed by all Rules and Regulations of the Board with regard to their conduct in the Examination Hall. All cases of unfair means will be dealt with as per rules.

11. The candidates must sign on the Attendance Sheet at the appropriate place.

Here's a list of instructions that the aspirants need to follow:

• The candidates should reach the test venue at least 40 minutes before the commencement of exam as the personal verifications and other formalities will take time.

• The candidates are not allowed to carry any personal belongings like bags, mobile, camera, electronic gadgets etc. to the test venue. Calculators and logarithmic tables will not be allowed inside the test venue.

• The candidates should click on the 'I have completed the Test' button only when they want to close the test. Once the candidates confirm that they want to generate the score, they will not be allowed to go back to the test.

• The candidates are required to carry the hall tickets along with them to the test venue. The candidates should paste their recent passport size photograph on the hall ticket and get it attested by Head of Institution or Gazetted officer.

• On the computer monitor:
• The candidates are required to type the password to login.
• After the candidates confirm their name and photograph and agree to the terms and conditions of the test, they will be shown the different symbols used.
• Thereafter, the candidates will have to make a selection of the part, they want to answer first.

• After entering the examination hall, candidates are required to find their allotted seat on which their roll number will be printed.

• Since the candidates are not allowed to carry any of their belonging inside the examination hall apart from NEET admit card 2018 and photograph, therefore, if they are found in possession of anything else then the candidature might get cancelled.

• The candidates will not be allowed to leave their seat before the conclusion of the exam.

• The invigilators will be providing NEET 2018 guidelines which should be complied by the candidates.
